Nayed Meets with UN Envoy Jan Kubis

They discussed the need to ensure direct Presidential and Parliamentary elections are held on 24 December 2021 as scheduled, and the importance of supporting the national work of the 5+5 Joint Military Committee, which demands the departure of all foreign forces and mercenaries, as well as the dismantling of all armed groups in the country. Nayed also briefed the UN Special Envoy on the content and results of his recent meetings with some members of the UN Security Council and the African Union, and which focused on supporting a timely electoral process — as an inherent right of the Libyan people.
