Nayed Meets Norland and Mazur at the State Department in Washington, D.C

Presidential candidate, Dr. Aref Ali Nayed, Chairman of the Ihya Libya Movement, and his Ihya Libya team, met this afternoon with the US State Department team led by US Ambassador and Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, and the Director of the Near East Department at the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations (CSO), Mr Jeff Masur. The meeting was held at the US State Department, in Washington, DC, and they discussed several topics, including: The ten-year US strategy for stability in Libya; the importance of moving forward with holding Presidential and Parliamentary elections as soon as possible; building on the recent 6+6 Joint Libyan Committee outcomes; and the 5+5 Joint Military Committee pledges to protect the elections and their results.
