Nayed and Norland discuss the path to elections

The head of the Ihya Libya movement, Dr. Aref Nayed, communicated on Wednesday with the US Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya, H.E. Richard Norland. They discussed getting all key institutions and actors to participate in UN-facilitated negotiations aimed at achieving implementable elections laws and forming a technical caretaker government that can take the country to Presidential and Parliamentary elections as soon as possible. They also agreed on the importance of the neutrality of UN mediation and supporting the UN envoy Abdoulaye Bathily and his efforts to facilitate talks between all concerned parties.
