Dr. Aref Nayed, Chairman of the Ihya Libya (Reviving Libya) movement, communicated with several national, regional, and international stakeholders, regarding confirming, activating, and accelerating consensus on the following path:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The 6+6 Committee\u2014which is constitutionally fortified\u2014urgently completes its work, taking into account the technical observations of the UN Mission, the Electoral Commission, the Parliament, and the High Council of State, and submitting its final, binding decisions (according to Amendment 13 of the Constitutional Declaration), to the Presidency of the House of Representatives in order to issue it, without the need for a session.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
  2. To start implementing the procedures for forming the new executive authority, immediately after the issuance of outputs of the 6+6 Committee, and allowing applications for candidacy to head a new caretaker government, whose work will focus on preparing and implementing simultaneous, urgent, and fair Presidential and Parliamentary elections.\n<\/li>\n
  3. Clarification and media support for consensus on these steps, which became evident in the last session of the Security Council regarding Libya, in the face of systematic media misinformation, which misrepresents UN statements, and falsely suggests the completion of various special-interests deals to prolong the life of the government\u2014a government which has lost confidence and credibility, and which has breached all its commitments in Geneva, and considered them \u201conly moral\u201d commitments, although they are moral and legal commitments that are binding, according to Libyan and international law, and a host of binding Security Council resolutions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In conclusion, the Ihya Libya movement extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to all\u00a0national, regional and international stakeholders for their unanimity and insistence on these steps, especially the national stakeholders who refuse to sell their integrity and that of the homeland, and sincerely insist on the path towards simultaneous and fair Presidential and Parliamentary elections, without delay or procrastination.<\/p>\n

    We are honored to continue intensive consultations with all patriots in all cities of Libya, and to coordinate with them to implement the will of the Libyan people, through electoral process, the only source of true legitimacy in our country.<\/p>\n

    (LIBYA, 29 June 2021) \u2013 In the joint letter by the Ihya Libya (Reviving Libya) Movement and the Civil Democratic Party to the UN envoy, J\u00e1n Kubi\u0161, they thanked the UN mission for its efforts towards holding direct Presidential and Parliamentary elections on time on 24 December 2021, along with its support for the elected House of Representatives (HoR), and its public affirmation through statements and briefings that issuing the constitutional rule and the election laws was an inherent right of the Libyan Parliament.<\/p>\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe letter also commended the UN Missions\u2019s position \u201cthat the outcomes of the meetings of the unelected Committee of 75 must return to the House of Representatives to gain its legitimacy based on the electoral legitimacy of the House of Representatives.\u201d\r\n\r\nThe letter cautioned the Committee of 75 and the legal committee emanating from it not to delve into constitutional and foundational matters, or try to convert their advisory drafts into an alternative constitutional declaration, because they are a selected and unelected committee\u2014noting that the rule necessary for elections already exists, which is the decisions of the February 2014 committee.\r\n
